LastTableBot
LastTableBot reads restaurants' own websites so that the LastTable restaurant directory can link to the right menu and booking pages and show accurate opening hours. It identifies itself as LastTableBot/1.0 (+https://lasttable.ie/bot).
How it behaves
- It reads your
robots.txtfirst and follows it. If the file cannot be read because of a server error, it does not visit the site. - It makes at most one request every 2 seconds to a site, and it honours a longer
Crawl-delay. - It reads only the home page that is listed for the restaurant, follows at most 3 redirects, and stops after 1.5 MB.
- It never logs in, fills in forms, solves CAPTCHAs or runs JavaScript.
- It visits a restaurant again at most about once a month.
What it keeps
It keeps only factual details that the page publishes in Schema.org markup or as a link to its menu (for example the menu link, the booking link, opening hours, cuisine, phone number, address and links to the restaurant's own social accounts), the page address and the date it was read. It does not copy menu text, prices, descriptions, reviews or photos: the directory links to them instead. These details are deleted after 180 days unless they are read again.
How to block it or correct something
Add this to your robots.txt and LastTableBot will not read your site, and what it read before is deleted at its next check:
